Ufo Complete 1 down many to go
This is my love hearts an attenpt to get away from stippling all the time.
The stitching completed
The bag, as you can see from the previous photos its pretty basic and has a square base.
These are the Magnetic fastners I have used to secure the top. These are available from Penny at the patchwork angel. www.patchworkangel.com.au
I love a good read and snuck this one in last week in between Oprah's Aussie Adventure and a million other things.I really enjoyed it.
Well I finished a UFO the first for 2011 lets hope I can complete another 5 that I know I have sitting around. This bag is a copy of a bag I bought from Sportsgirl some years ago and always loved, so i just measured it up and wanted to practise some new quilting instead of stippling, what do you think of the hearts?. So nice to finish and now i can carry my latest library book, water bottle, and take it on my travels.
Now I must go to my real job and tonight must play with this blog to work out how to link Pennys page and make my banner smaller. Thanks to Briar Rose- Marilee for your advise. Tomorrow I'll be onto it.

The Flash Flood and Endless Water
How much more can we take in our fair land of drought and flooding plains.
My thoughts and prayers are with all our fellow Queenslanders enduring the flooding, all through out this land.

Frogs Hollow Emu Vale
www.frogshollow.com.au
We had a lovely stay at Frogs Hollow this week the area is so peaceful and the scenery wonderful, so I took loads of pics and would love to learn to paint with Di Kelly. Di owns Frogs Hollow and is an art Teacher in Brisbane- Brushstrokes is her studio in Paddington. This is an old School house and is over 125 years old, it has been completely renovated and would be a perfect book club getaway if you dont paint. So if you have a few friends and want to plan a little getaway weekend this would be a top place. please look it up on the web, you wont be dissapointed.
cheers

The Beginning
Well this a first for me, but I have been leading up to the idea of a Blog for a while so be gentle with me.
I have had a wonderful Christmas season and now enjoying my last few days of holidays before the reality bite of 2011. I hope to share with you some patchwork ideas and joys of my little world. We had a great time with Family up at Circle Retreat for our first Christmas together in 2 years fun food and general merriness.
Now I just have to learn how to load some pics, any advise welcome.
